THE EXPERIENCE

Participating as a Game Designer

At IDEAG, you can have your prototypes playtested, observe how people play them, gather feedback, and exchange ideas with other game designers.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to meet publishers interested in discovering new projects, attend training sessions, and connect with the game design community.

You do not need to book a table to participate as a Game Designer. If you do not have a reserved table, you can arrange playtesting sessions at other designers’ tables, with permission from the person responsible for the space.

To make the most of your IDEAG experience, we recommend reading:

PLAYTEST TABLES

Tables & Fees

You can book a table to present your games or participate without a reserved table. In either case, you can register the prototypes you plan to bring to the event.

Playtesting is only permitted in areas designated for IDEAG, not in the hotel’s common areas.

WITHOUT A RESERVED TABLE

You can present your prototypes at other designers’ tables, provided you have permission from the person responsible for the table.

No reserved table included.

WITH A RESERVED TABLE

The fee depends on the table type and the day selected, and already includes the Game Designer registration associated with the booking.

*Fees vary depending on the table type and day. See the table below for details.

No additional €10 registration fee for the registration already included.

Table Types

Available tables vary in size, number of chairs, hall, and day. Check the table below to choose the option that best suits your games.

There will be 120 playtesting slots on Saturday and 120 on Sunday, for a total of 240 bookable slots.

Each Game Designer has exclusive use of the entire table during their assigned time slot, rather than half of its surface.
Saturday: Morning: 10:00–14:00. Afternoon: 15:00–19:00.
Sunday: Morning: 09:00–13:00. Afternoon: 14:00–18:00.

How the Waiting List Works

If all tables are fully booked, you can join the waiting list directly through the “Book a Table” registration process, without completing a separate registration.

Requests are processed in chronological order.

When your turn comes, you will receive an offer for the first table that becomes available, including its dimensions and booking conditions.

You will have 12 hours to accept the offer. If you decline, you will be removed from the waiting list and will not receive further offers.

Have you already paid the €10 fee to participate without a table?

If you subsequently obtain a table, you can request a refund of your separate registration fee by emailing ideag@saz-italia.it.

Refunds are not automatic and will be processed after the event.
