IDEAG 2026 – Game Designer Registration

Game Designer registrations for IDEAG 2026 will open on Wednesday, November 12 at 12:00 (noon)!

If you plan to attend IDEAG, you must register either as a Game Designer or by purchasing a Table + Game Designer Registration.

Game Designer Registration

Participating as a Game Designer at IDEAG requires a €10 contribution, which entitles you to:

  • a Game Designer badge valid for both event days
  • the IDEAG 2026 personalized notebook
  • access to the digital list of all prototypes presented
  • participation in the training sessions on Friday, January 9
  • access to the event halls on Friday 9, Saturday 10, and Sunday 11 January
  • the possibility to register your prototypes for the event
  • the opportunity to playtest your prototypes during the event
  • the option to reserve a table for Saturday and/or Sunday
  • the option to join IDEAG Night
  • the option to take part in “La Cialtronata” (a shabby game design exercise shared among participants)

Note: The Game Designer registration fee is already included in the table contribution.

During the event, you will have the chance to meet publishers and make use of other Game Designers’ hospitality to test your games at their tables.

To register as a Game Designer, please fill out both the registration form and the prototype submission form by December 26, 2025.

Co-Designers, Design Teams, and Companions

If the games you present at IDEAG are created by a team of designers, each Game Designer attending the event must register individually.

For any questions, please refer to the 2026 FAQ.

Registration Process for Game Designers

Step 1 – Register for the event

Read the IDEAG Decalogue and Code of Conduct, then complete the registration form for IDEAG 2026.

This year, the registration fee must be paid at the time of registration, exclusively via PayPal.
Due to the growing number of participants, bank transfers will no longer be accepted.

Please ensure you have a PayPal account ready to complete your payment.

If you need to register multiple Game Designers, please check the FAQ for instructions.

All communications will come from ideag@saz-italia.it and no-reply@spieleautorenzunft.de.
Please save these addresses to avoid missing important updates.

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link for prototype submission.

Step 2 – Book accommodation and meals

If you wish to stay at the event venue and/or book meals, please contact the hotel directly to reserve your room and meals.
Meals must be booked before the event days.

More details are available on the “Accommodation and Meals” page.

Step 3 – Register your prototypes

From November 20 to December 26, 2025, you can register the games you’ll bring to IDEAG by completing the prototype registration form via the link received in your registration email.

This year, uploading a photo of your prototype is mandatory, to help publishers, playtesters, and designers choose which games to try.

Game Designers may also include a link to a scheduling platform such as Calendly or Google Calendar to allow publishers and playtesters to book appointments.

You can configure Google Calendar to create your schedule.
If you include this link in your registration, it will automatically appear on all your prototype entries, making it easily accessible to publishers, bloggers, designers, and playtesters.
